Car Rental Information

Generally most USAirtours customers select an "all-inclusive" car hire to save costly add-ons at the rental counter.  Exactly what is included in the rental is clearly shown on confirmation/invoices issued by USAirtours.  Generally, when collecting cars, the counter staff will try to sell car upgrades, additional insurances & assistance such as Personal Protection Insurance or Roadside Assistance - these are not mandatory and SHOULD NOT BE SIGNED FOR IF THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED.

Voucherless Rentals - USAirtours operates a voucherless system with Alamo, therefore no voucher is required for rentals.  Simply quote the Alamo confirmation number shown on the USAirtours invoice.

Minimum Age - Minimum driver age is 21 years.  Young drivers aged 21-24 years will be required to pay a young driver surcharge of $25 + tax per day.  This fee must be paid locally and is not included in any "all-inclusive" rental package.

Additional Drivers - Extra drivers may be added to the rental agreement for $10 + tax per driver.  Additional drivers will be required to present their drivers licence & a valid credit card in their name at the time of rental.  (Up to 3 additional drivers are already included in "Gold" rental packages).

Infant Seats - Infant seats are available for $6.99 + tax per day, payable at the rental counter when collecting the car.  These must be pre-booked at the time the booking is made but cannot be pre-paid and are not included in any "all-inclusive" rental packages.

Driving Areas - Vehicles can be driven in the USA & Canada.  Vehicles may not be driven in Mexico.  Driving on unpaved roads voids Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).

One-Way Rentals - Rentals where a car is not returned to the location from which it was collected must be pre-booked.  One-way fees may apply & customers will be advised of these at the time of booking.  One way fees are payable locally at the rental counter - they cannot be pre-paid and are not included in any "all-inclusive" rental packages.

Fees & Taxes - Any additional upgrades, insurances or additions to the rental agreement made at the counter when the car is collected is subject to local taxes & fees, even if the taxes & fees for the rental have been pre-paid.
